At Zendesigns, we provide our community with design services such as event planning, design, party rentals and custom- made cactus/succulents terrarium arrangements. My role as a designer is to create a beautiful and unforgetable experience for our clients by delivering creative, engaging, and fun events based on our client's dreams. Our greatest satisfaction is when we elevate our client's vision into a sophisticated, beautiful yet simple, and fun event that everyone gets to enjoy.
Our company's name was born out of my love for meditation. Meditation is my "reset time." The word ZEN at its roots means "thought," insight into the nature of the mind. It represents the virtues of energy, wisdom, and generosity. It represents enlightenment and, most notably, living in the present moment. The ZEN mindset is "the mind that sees all things for the first time," like seeing life or moments with a sense of wonder and awe. This concept fits perfectly with our company's vision since we want our customers to experience joy and a sense of awe and wonder when they see the final result.
We want our customers to feel fully immersed in the celebration, to enjoy, and to have the opportunity to be present to their loved ones. So we will take care of all the coordination and details for our customers, providing ease and peace of mind. I have seen countless family or friends taking on the mission of planning an event for a loved one. But unfortunately, they end up being caught up with the planning, coordination, details, or last- minute hiccups and missing a significant part, if not all, of the celebration.
Our goal is to help our customers truly celebrate and enjoy essential milestones. But most importantly, to be fully present for their loved ones, creating memories without worries or unnecessary stress. We are here to help our customer transform their dreams into a unique and personalized design experience. We will create memorable and special events for all, bringing a hip vibe with a touch of fun and sophistication.
We have been involved in this business for nine years. It started with the cactus/succulent arrangements as home décor and turned out to be a stress relief therapy. Back in the day, I was working for Corporate America. Since designs have always been our passion, my husband and I started creating Cactus/ Succulents Terrariums to elevate our home décor. Enhancing points of reference in our homerooms like a centerpiece for a dining table, corner pieces, or small pieces together to create a more aesthetically pleasing environment. It was our chance not only to create and design something beautiful for our home but also to connect, catch up, talk about our days, relax and vent over a cup of wine.
When we hosted events in our home, our friends and family members started showing interest in our arrangements, designs, and decorations. From there, we began receiving inquiries for event planning, orders for custom arrangements, and even consultations. Everything grew organically, and fast forward to today; we now have our own business!
In our humble opinion, what gets imprinted in our hearts forever are those unique and heartfelt moments. A quote from an Italian poet, Cesare Pavese, "We don't remember days. We remember moments." Therefore, we strive to create unforgettable memories for our customers and their families. One of our core values is to care deeply for our customers, develop a relationship with them, build trust, connect with them, listen to their needs, and earn the privilege to serve them. Only then will we be able to deliver a meaningful experience, high levels of service, and the chance to make an impact by enriching our customers' lives by converting their dreams into reality.
I find inspiration in various people and things, but ultimately (this might sound like a cliché), my family is my biggest inspiration in life. I have always loved them, but after going through some health challenges, the whole experience made me appreciate them more deeply. The most important thing we could have in our lives is love, support from our loved ones, and the ability to contribute and serve others. I have to say that what gives me the greatest satisfaction is to see my customer enriched by the outcome, to see them happy and excited. I waited so long to do what I love; I treat every event like it's the last event I'm planning. No matter how big or small the occasion is, I pour my heart and soul into it. I want to leave a positive imprint in people's lives with everything I do. Nothing is better than seeing that big smile on our customers' faces when they see their dream materialized.
A funny story about my business is that it started in a garage! (like Apple) Maybe I'm the next Steve Jobs, coming to disrupt the market but for the events and design industry. A fun fact about me is that I need my coffee and to blast some music to connect with my creative flow. Music moves my creativity, so if you see me with my Airpods on, watch out; I might be in the middle of something.
Since you all know our values and business philosophy, it seems appropriate to let you know about our credentials. I am an interior designer for The New York Institute of Art and Design. I completed two bachelor's degrees: One in Business Administration and the Second in Marketing Advertising. In addition, I have more than 30 years of experience working for Corporate America and Fortune 500 companies. It will be my honor to help you design your event!
